July Club Meeting
The next regular club meeting will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at the East County Sheriff’s Station.
Topic – Go Kits: At least four approaches to mobile operation – go-kits -will be set up and displayed and the advantages of each will be discussed.
Special note: if you can’t attend the meeting at the Sheriff’s station you can still participate via ZOOM, details below.
Members gather as early at 7:00 p.m. to socialize.
The East County Sheriff Station is located at 2101 E. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks.

The Conejo Valley Amateur Radio Club (CVARC) would like to thank Karrie Bosma, daughter of Hugh Bosma AE6YC/SK, for a significant donation of equipment that will contribute substantially to training projects and club member operations.
Hugh Bosma was well-known in the local amateur community for his outstanding commitment to teaching, mentoring and community service. The club recognizes his contributions every year with the presentation of the Hugh Bosma Legacy Award. Since 2015, the Board of Directors has awarded it to a member who has made an outstanding contribution to the club and/or amateur radio during the year.

CVARC’s Field Day event is described on the KCLU Radio website. The national amateur radio exercise will be held from 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25 to 11:00 AM June 26, 2022.

June Proclaimed Amateur Radio Month
The Ventura County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution June 7th proclaiming June 2022 “Amateur Radio Month” in honor of the more than 3,800 FCC licensed amateur radio operators residing in Ventura County.

Conejo Valley residents are invited to see and participate in Ventura County’s largest public emergency communications exercise of the year on June 25th and 26th. Amateur radio operators from the Conejo Valley Amateur Radio Club (CVARC) will be participating in a national amateur radio exercise know as Field Day from 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25 to 11:00 AM June 26, 2022.
The CVARC Field Day Event will be held at the Lake Sherwood Development Company field located at 378 W. Potrero Road in Westlake Village on the south side of W. Potrero Road, between Trentwood Drive and Stafford Road.
